Methodology and disclosures

How TraderComps
is put together.

Campaigns

We list a campaign only when we can link to its official rules (the venue's announcement, docs, terms or official X post) or to a press release or reputable outlet reporting them. Dates, rewards and eligibility are copied as published. If a venue does not publish how many people take part, we say so instead of estimating. Every listing shows the date we last checked its source. Status (live, upcoming, ended) comes from the published dates.

Venues can send new campaigns and corrections through Get listed. We review every submission before it goes live.

Market data

On-chain volume, open interest and fees come from DefiLlama's free API. Centralised exchange volume, open interest and trust scores come from CoinGecko's public API. We refresh them when we update the site, and the Rankings page shows when that was. We do not show user counts: they are not published consistently enough to compare.

Venue score (beta)

A score out of 100 built from the parts below, each shown on the venue's page. A part without public data counts as neutral (half marks), so missing data never raises a score; with fewer than three parts we show no score. For brokers, trading apps and prop firms, regulation (licences from tier-one regulators such as the FCA, SEC, CFTC and ASIC) replaces liquidity and activity quality. Nobody can pay for a score.

Liquidity30Open interest, or volume where there is no open interest, compared with every other venue of the same type.
Cost20Base-tier taker fee from the venue's own fee page. Lower is better.
Track record20Years live, up to five.
Activity quality15CoinGecko trust score for exchanges; for on-chain venues, daily volume compared with open interest. Very high ratios suggest incentive-driven or wash volume.
Transparency15A public fee schedule we could read and confirm.

Who runs TraderComps

TraderComps is built and run by Surgence Labs, a growth partner for blockchain, AI and fintech teams. Some venues listed here are Surgence clients. They carry a Surgence client badge everywhere they appear, and they are listed and scored by the same rules as everyone else.

Current clients badged: Nika Finance, ADI PredictStreet.

Affiliate links

Some "Join" buttons use the venue's affiliate or referral link, and TraderComps may earn a commission when someone signs up or trades through it. Those links are labelled. Whether a venue has an affiliate deal with us never decides whether a campaign is listed, where it appears, how it ranks or how it scores. Where we have no affiliate link, the button goes to the venue's own website.

Ads and eligibility

Paid placements are labelled Sponsored and never change a listing, ranking or score. Many campaigns are not open in every country, and bonus offers on crypto and CFD products are restricted in places such as the UK and the EU. Each listing shows who can join as the venue publishes it. TraderComps is information, not financial advice.
