This page explains how TraderComps decides what to list and what to write, and how we keep commercial relationships away from those decisions.
What We List
We list trading campaigns that a member of the public can join: trading competitions, points programs, airdrops and listing campaigns, bonuses, fee discounts and prop firm offers. We list a campaign only when we can link to its official rules, such as the venue's announcement, documentation, terms or official social account, or a press release or reputable outlet reporting them.
We leave a campaign out when the only source is an affiliate or coupon site, when the terms can't be found, or when it is limited to a private group.
How We Check Listings
We research campaigns from official sources, using software tools to find and track announcements, and check each listing against its source before it goes live. Dates, rewards and eligibility are copied as published. If a venue does not publish how many people take part, we say so rather than estimate. Every listing shows the date its source was last checked.
Updates and Corrections
Campaign status (live, upcoming, ended) follows the published dates. When a venue changes its terms, we update the listing and its checked date. If you see a mistake, use Fix a listing or email hello@tradercomps.com. We correct errors as soon as we confirm them.
Guides and News
Guides and news are written by Julian Stafford, co-founder of Surgence Labs. Factual claims link to their sources. Guides show the date they were last updated. We do not tell readers which venue to choose, and nothing on TraderComps is financial advice.
Independence
TraderComps earns money from sponsored placements and affiliate links, and some listed venues are clients of Surgence Labs. To keep that separate from our editorial work:
- Sponsored placements are labelled "Sponsored" and never change a listing, its position, a ranking or a score.
- Affiliate links are labelled, and whether a venue has an affiliate deal never decides whether or where it is listed.
- Surgence Labs clients carry a "Surgence client" badge and are listed and scored by the same rules as every other venue.
- Venues cannot pay to remove a listing, change its facts or improve a score.
Rankings use public data from DefiLlama and CoinGecko. The venue score method is published on the methodology page.
